The workshop is dedicated to student musicians ­– all instruments. It is devoted to analysing and performing original jazz songs, their modern style versions and odd-metre and open-structure tunes, which the students will later perform during the evening jam session.

Improvisation and conducting sections will be set up, too. Special attention will be given to drummers and modern drumming styles. At the end of the workshop, a discussion about gender balance in jazz will be held.
